On the initiative of the Association of German Transport Companies (VDV) – an associate member of the IBS – the rail siding charter, which was drawn up in 2019, was revised and presented to the Parliamentary State Secretary on January 31, 2024 to the Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport in Germany at a logistics congress in the presence of the IBS Board. 56 associations and organizations, including our IBS Association, contributed to the development and signed the charter. In cooperation with the signatory organizations, further topics were identified to strengthen of rail freight transport with the aim of increasing competitiveness and influencing and influence on increasing climate protection.
